Chad Smith is one of rocks’ most iconic drummers, leading a generation redefining music as the drummer for Red Hot Chili Peppers and changing culture as an advocate for music and the arts.
A six-time GRAMMY winning, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Guinness World Record holder, Chad is a force. A 30-year member of Red Hot Chili Peppers, he has 30 album/EP/compilation albums to his name, was the host of the PBS TV series Landmarks Live in Concert, an outspoken advocate for the arts, and was appointed by President Obama as a “Turnaround Artist for Public Schools”.
As one of the most sought after session drummers, when not performing with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chad can be found in the studio working on TV and film scores and has worked with artists spanning all genres including Johnny Cash, Brandi Carlile, The Dixie Chicks, The Avett Brothers, Jon Batiste, and many others.
In 2017 Chad began Chad Smith Art; a new medium in art built from rhythm.
